Certificate of Professional Competence (P.E.I.)
It is the certificate that certifies that the specific driver has the required initial training or periodic training, as defined in this regulation, and is therefore allowed to drive specific categories or subcategories of road transport vehicles for passengers or goods, provided he/she holds a valid driving license for the specific or relevant categories or subcategories. P.E.I. is distinguished between passenger transport and freight transport. P.E.I. for passenger transport refers to the subcategories and categories of vehicles D1, D1E, D, DE, as defined in PD No. 19/1995 "Adaptation of legislation to Council Directive 91/439/EEC of 29 June 1991 on driving licenses" (Government Gazette A' 15/31.1.1995), as applicable. P.E.I. for freight transport refers to the subcategories and categories of vehicles C1, C1E, C, CE, as defined in PD No. 19/1995 "Adaptation of legislation to Council Directive 91/439/EEC of 29 June 1991 on driving licenses" (Government Gazette A' 15/31.1.1995), as applicable. In order for this specific driver to prove that he holds a Professional Driving License, he is required to possess a valid Driver Training Certificate, which is in accordance with Annex II of this decree, or, on the driver's license and next to one or more of the subcategories or categories C1, C1E, C, CE, D1, D1E, D and DE that he holds, the EU code number "95" must be registered. The case of paragraph 4 of Article 8 of this decree is excluded.
To have their normal residence in Greece
Not to hold another driving license of the same category, Greek or from another EU Member State.
To hold a valid driving license of category C1, C1E, C or CE.
To have reached the age of 18.
To meet the minimum physical and mental fitness requirements applicable to category C.
Application - Declaration of Responsibility. in which the interested party will declare: a. that they have a regular residence in Greece b. Tax Identification Number.
Two (2) recent colored passport-type photos.
Police ID or valid Greek passport, as well as photocopies of these documents.
e-Fee for each vocational training certificate examination (theory or practice)
E-Paravolo for the issuance of the new driver's license. (The code of the DMV will be required.)
Print application
Photocopy of the current valid C1, C1E, C or CE driver's license.
Theoretical examination via computer for the DMV, based on the material in the book 'Professional Truck Driving - Certificate of Professional Competence'. The questions are based on the topics included in the entire material.
Overall practical examination lasting 90 minutes. During the practical examination for the DMV, the candidate is also tested theoretically for at least 30 minutes.
